Standing by the reflecting pool on the "plain" of Angkor Wat just in front of the main building. From here you can see all five towers representing Mount Meru (ie the Himalayas). We took this picture in turn with many other tourists, so that it looks like we were here alone, but just outside the frame are lots of people waiting their turn to stand on this spot. (we all dressed up for our visit to the Wats on the first day, but soon learned that being cool was more important than being formal, and we dressed in lighter clothing on Day 2!)
