The Kuensel, the weekly 10-page national newspaper, carries a column of astrological determinations for the week ahead. It appears that if I followed them, I wouldn't travel much, and heaven help me if someone dies in my house on tuesday night. But I could conduct frequent rituals. Here's the rundown:
Saturday 6/25: The elements of earth and fire combine to make the day favorable for daily offerings. Not favorable to conduct rituals, construct statues, consecrate new structures, preach, marry, build stores, give away wealth, wear new ornaments, and roof houses.
Sunday 6/26: The elements of water and water combine making it a good day to perform rituals, draw mandalas, roof and shift houses, wear new clothes, seek medical treatment, construct canals, and sow seeds and plant trees. Not a good day to saddle horses and mules and go on long journeys.
Monday 6/27: The element of earth and fire combine to make it a good day to conduct rituals. A bad day to contruct statues, consecrate new structures, become a monk, preach, wear ornaments and new clothes, marry, roof and shift houses, and traveling.
Tuesday 6/28: The elements of fire and water clash to make it a bad day to do anything other than make daily offerings.
Wednesday 6/29: the elements of water and wind combine to make it a favourable day to conduct rituals, draw mandala, enter new house, set up stores, discuss new things, and sow seeds. A bad day to construct statues, consecrate new structures, roof house, take the dead out of the house and take infants outdoors.
Thursday 6/30: The element of earth and water combines to make it the best day of the week. A very good day to conduct rituals, draw mandalas, wear ornaments and new clothes, shift house, construct oven, seek medical treatment, adopt domestic help and sow seeds. Not a good day to take out the dead, hoist prayer flags and sell jewelry.
Friday 7/1: The elements of earth and wind combine to make it a good day to conduct rituals and circumambulate chortens. Not favourable to consecrate new structures, join monk body, preach, marry, go on long journeys and conduct funeral rites.
